Enhanced MagicLM Line-up: A New Era of AI Innovation
HONOR’s unique approach sets it apart from industry standards. Rather than merely enhancing applications or developing AI applications using large language models (LLMs), HONOR integrates LLMs to boost its platform-level AI capabilities. This enhancement aims to provide experiences such as multimodal natural interaction, precise intention recognition, and seamless closed-loop services for complex tasks. With MagicOS 9.0, HONOR introduces the MagicLM lineup, a suite of LLMs designed to create transformative experiences through language, visuals, audio, and multimodal interactions. This development propels HONOR’s evolution into an AI-driven operating system.
The core of the new MagicLM lineup dynamically allocates AI computing power based on specific user scenarios. By efficiently combining and allocating on-device and cloud resources, it strikes an optimal balance between performance and user experience.
Notably, the three billion parameter LLM is an on-device model designed to support HONOR’s mid-range and premium product lines. Compared to the previously released seven billion parameter model, it achieves an 80% reduction in power consumption, a 77% increase in loading speed, a 500% increase in word output speed, and a notable reduction in ROM and RAM usage, significantly enhancing industry standards.
YOYO: Leading the Charge in Autopilot AI for Smartphones
During the launch event, HONOR announced the evolution of YOYO from a Smart Assistant to a full-fledged AI Agent. This advanced AI Agent features four core capabilities: natural language understanding, computer vision, user behavior habit learning, and intention recognition. YOYO can accurately interpret user needs, decompose task steps, and autonomously operate various resources and third-party services on the phone based on its understanding of user behavior.
For example, if a user instructs YOYO to order a hot latte, it operates like a real-life assistant. It accesses the user’s preferred food delivery app, identifies the favorite coffee shop, places the order automatically, and confirms payment, streamlining the process with a single prompt.
HONOR envisions the AI Agent as capable of completing tasks with just one command, assisting users in tasks they may hesitate to perform. Currently, YOYO understands 600 types of user intents, remembers 950 personal habits, and can plan 270 complex tasks. With a single command, YOYO can execute 900 tasks, including ordering coffee, managing app renewals, notifications, document conversions, and form filling.

Leveraging platform-level AI improvements in intention recognition, Magic Portal accurately interprets user intent and offers precise service recommendations. It now covers ten major user scenarios and over 100 applications, representing a 255% increase in service integration compared to MagicOS 8.0. The newly enhanced Magic Capsule extends application scenarios to include frequent activities such as flight bookings, ride-hailing, high-speed rail, express delivery, takeout, movie watching, gaming, system services, local life, navigation, security, and communication.
